I was talking on the phone with the late Seth Gibbs one summer afternoon, while he was tinkering with a new drum sound and set up at his studio. I just so happened to have a handful of new songs and he invited me over. Planning on playing them in my usual fashion, he handed me an electric guitar in place of my Martin. I thought hell, why not, lets try it.

He jumped behind the drums, I plugged in, and we ran through a few takes. I strummed live, with some 'rough' vocals, and he recorded it.

I talked with Seth just a couple summer days later and he told me he put a bass line on it, and fucked with the production a little. I said, well damn, I'd like to hear it! So I did.

We then asked "Sweet" Gary Newcomb to come over and pump the pedal steel. He did!

And then Seth called up Rocky, and she put down some amazing and wonderful backing vocals on some of em.
